About EasyTools Text Counter

Text Counter is a fast, browser-based analyser for any paragraph, blog post, caption or article. It shows live counts for characters (with and without spaces), words, sentences, lines, unique words, average word length and estimated reading time at a glance.

The word-frequency table highlights repeated terms for editing, SEO, and writing clarity. Export it as CSV for Excel/Sheets, or download your full text as a .txt file. Everything runs locally in your browser — no uploads, no tracking.

What counts as a word in this text counter?
Words are counted after normalising your text: lowercased, punctuation stripped, split on whitespace. Tools / tools / TOOLS are treated as the same word for unique-word and frequency counts.
Does punctuation affect the statistics?
Character counts include punctuation, spaces and line breaks. For unique words and the frequency table, punctuation is removed and only cleaned words are counted.
How is reading time estimated?
Reading time uses an average of about 200 words per minute. It’s a rough guide.
Is my text sent to a server or stored?
No. Everything runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
What does the CSV export contain?
The CSV file has two columns: word and count.
